4th of July

This week really got away from me! Haven't posted since the 30th... oops!

Here's a quick recap of my week:

I had a short work week (yay!) and was able to do my runs on my lunch break, which I love being able to do. I did 3 on Monday, 8 on Tuesday, 2.5 on Wednesday and then I did the Firecracker 5k in Thomaston on Thursday. - I'll do a recap of this race tomorrow once I get the photos from my mom. :)

After the 5k, my mom, the boys and I walked around Thomaston. They had a carnival theme this year for the parade and actually had a carnival near the schools. We walked around the fair grounds for a minute then watched the pet show that was going on.

The parade started at 11:00 and we headed to Main St. to find a spot to sit. It was a short parade this year and we were back to our car by noon.  We ended up sitting in traffic for about 45 minutes though :/

The boys and I grabbed lunch at my parents house and then headed home to see if Chris was awake yet. (He works nights...)

It was so hot and humid out we ended up relaxing inside for a couple hours and eating lots of freezer pops. When the sun started to go down a bit we drove down to Waterman's Beach Lobster and parked there to walk the beach.

Later in the evening after having some dinner we head over to Harjula's Dairy Bar where a lot of people park to watch the Thomaston fireworks. We sat with Noah's best friend Liam and his parents and they lit some sparklers after.

It was a perfect day!

Hope you had a happy independence day!!
